Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame could take days to fully explore and enjoy. There are dozens of galleries and exhibits in its seven levels of building space. The average stay is a little under three hours.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was formed in 1983, with the physical Rock Hall opening its doors in 1995 on the shore of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio. The "mission is clear: To engage, teach and inspire through the power of rock and roll. We share stories of the people, events and songs that shape our world through exhibits, innovative programs and concerts."

Elvis - the King of Rock and Roll

There cannot be a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame without the "King." In 1986 Elvis Presley was one of the first ten performers to be inducted.

Since 1995 there has been a permanent Elvis exhibit. "Each year new artifacts are sent in from Graceland, a longstanding agreement that keeps the exhibit alive, dynamic, and as unpredictable as the next swivel of his pelvis," according to the Rock Hall officials.

This exhibit takes "a deeper look at the man behind the myth." There is an exclusive film on the artist’s life and impact on pop culture ... along with his custom 1975 SuperTrike motorcycle.

Live performances

2019 Inductees 'The Zombies' perform Aug. 17 at Rock Hall.
One of the extremely popular features of the R & R Hall of Fame are the live outdoor performances.

The Zombies, one of the 2019 Rock Hall Inductees, will perform on the Rock Hall Live stage on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 3 pm ET.

"Innovative arrangements, gorgeous choral harmonies, and impeccable musicianship made the Zombies one of the most admired and influential groups of the 1960s."

Ticket holders will be able to tour the Rock Hall’s exhibits, including the brand new exhibitions celebrating the 2019 Inductees and 'Woodstock at 50'.
